Columbia receives Blue Sky renewable energy recognition for 2017
As one of Pacific Power’s biggest customers, we’ve joined with over 117,700 other regional businesses who have committed to purchase a portion of their electricity under the “Blue Sky” program. Since 2004, this means that a portion of our power has come from renewable wind generation. And in 2017, Pacific Power also added solar sources to the Blue Sky program’s energy mix.
Last year, 955,200 kilowatts hours of our power consumption was from renewable sources, reducing our carbon impact by 863,424 pounds of carbon dioxide.
