PICTURED ABOVE: Originally designed for a customer’s Symons® 4th-stage crusher at a Minnesota iron mine, this cross section of a Columbia Steel bowl liner and mantle were defined as a fine set of liners. Because of proper liner geometry, this set produced 50% more gross material than competitive liners at a constant output rate. Made of Columbia’s Xtralloy® manganese alloy, the wear metal utilization for the working life of these parts was an impressive 75%.
